Buy a Domain and Keep Your Current Hosting

You can register your domain with Horanos and keep your website and email with your current hosting provider. The domain then points to your provider's servers through its nameservers.

Before You Start

Ask your hosting provider for their nameservers. They usually look like this:

ns1.yourhost.com
ns2.yourhost.com

Step by Step

1. Open Store → Register a New Domain, search for your domain and click Add to Cart.
2. Do not add a hosting plan. Click Checkout.
3. On the Domains Configuration page, go to the Nameservers section. Replace the preset ns1.horanos.com and ns2.horanos.com with your provider's nameservers.
4. Click Continue, complete the order and pay the invoice.
5. Ask your hosting provider to add the domain to your hosting account, so that your website can be reached under it.

Syrian Domains (.sy / .سورية)

For Syrian domains, the nameservers are entered in the application form. Enter your provider's nameservers there and your provider's name as the hosting company – see How to Register a Syrian Domain.

How Long Does It Take?

Once the nameservers are set, your website is usually reachable under the new domain within a few minutes to an hour; worldwide it can take up to 24 hours.
